  This leadership training is designed to help develop leadership in Utah’s business and technology organizations.  Seventeen experienced and successful executives teach the program over a four month period.  This program will be live... no Zoom.

  Participants will improve their leadership abilities by:
  

  • Understanding their current skills and what could be improved.
    
  • Learning the “state of the art” leadership skills and how to apply them.

  LDI PLUS is a 3-month program that focuses on your personal leadership training. The key is a 90 minute one-on-one executive coaching session to help you grow your career to the next level.  A Birkman survey and a 360 Leadership Assessment Profile is administered to assess your leadership skills and is the basis of developing a tailored plan for your improvement. This program will be live... no Zoom and held at WCF facility in Sandy .

  Two big problems
  1) How do I progress in my company to greater responsibility and greater pay? This problem is described by Marshall Goldsmith, "What Got You Here Won't Get You There."
  2) How do I deliver more value to the business and make a greater contribution to business results? My leadership competencies are directly related to business results. (See chart below.)

  
  

  One big solution:
  LDI PLUS is a 3-month learning experiences that provides an assessment of your leadership competencies. What are your strengths, and what needs more development.  This includes individual coaching with an experienced senior level executive to analyze your competencies and help create your development plan. The resources of the program are:

  • 90 minutes of one-on-one personal coaching with a certified mentor.
  • A Leadership Circle Profile of detailing your leadership skills.
  • A Birkman profile survey assessing your normal work behaviors and those when under stress.
  • Triggers book by Marshall Goldsmith (see below), and a personalized 360 Profile from The Leadership Circle. 
  • The Program is facilitated by Business Executives and Certified Leadership Circle Profile Coaches.  
  • Three 5 hour monthly sessions.

  Carter Busse on the Life of a Start Up and Scale CIO

  Please join us on Thursday, May 9^th for our May AIM Lunch meeting. Our May meeting features Carter Busse. Carter has been the start-up and scale-up CIO for three successful technology companies (including Salesforce) and is involved with two others that will eventually go public. Carter is expert in building teams, improving delivery and selecting technologies and technology providers.

  At our meeting Carter will talk about:

  • The story of his career (3 successful IPO’s with two more on the way)
  • His thoughts on the trend towards democratization of IT and the framework that supports it
  • How he has and is using AI
  • The role of successful IT leaders in leading the organization’s go-to-market motions
  • How to leverage vendors to create IT leader peer networks for IT leaders and their staffs
  • How to build successful relationships with venture capital networks and use these to stay current on innovation

  You are invited to the 2024 AIM Golf Invitational at Thanksgiving Point.  This will be an 18-hole tournament with a shotgun start. Please arrive between 7:00 and 7:30 am to warm up and get assigned to your group. Tee off is at 8:00 am. A lunch, prize drawings and awards for winners will take place in the clubhouse after the morning tournament. 

  The afternoon golfing opportunity will be similar to last year.  You must pre-register for afternoon golf, if desired, and you will be assigned a specific tee time after lunch.

  The costs are as follows:

     AIM Members - $20

     Non-member accompanying a member - $60   

   

  Note: Thanksgiving Point has a dress code where denim is not allowed.
