  December AIM Lunch Meeting Featuring Christine Springer - From Fire-Fighting to Forward Thinking

  We are pleased to announce our speaker for the December 11^th AIM Lunch Meeting. Christine Springer will speak to us on "From Fire-Fighting To Forward Thinking". Christine will share with us the results of her research that indicates the areas where technology leaders should focus their efforts as they move from reactive to proactive leadership. These include:

  • The broken status quo: Why technical excellence alone isn’t driving results anymore

  • The top 3 skill gaps contributing to poor adoption, change resistance, and customer dissatisfaction

  • A practical framework to develop power skills including emotional intelligence—so teams can thrive under pressure

  • The immediate actions tech leaders can take to assess their teams and begin to strengthen internal results 

  
  

  About Our Speaker, Christine Springer

  
  

  Christine started her career as a physical therapist and rose through the ranks to be the director of a large clinic in Austin, Texas. In that role she learned the importance of:

  • Having a team that’s aligned toward a common vision

  • Empowering critical thinking and timely decision-making

  • Using values-based hiring as a cornerstone of building a strong organizational culture

  Under her direction, the clinic was recognized as a “Best of Austin” business multiple years in a row.

  In 2014, she committed to sharing what she had learned and has since consulted a number of organizations. Her firm, Rising Culture Group, helps companies improve their bottom line by elevating the performance of their leaders and teams.

  She received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. She is a Certified Martha Beck Coach. She is also an authorized partner for Wiley’s Everything Disc Products and Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team.

  Leadership Development Institute – Mastering the Practices of Influential Leadership

  Consider those you willingly choose to follow. What are the characteristics and practices of these people? How do they treat you? How do they inspire you? How do they convey a vision that is compelling to you and that results in you willingly following them? How have these people influenced you?

  We are all in roles – as leaders of people, as subject matter experts and as both – where we influence others. What can we do to improve our influential authority so that others willingly choose to follow us?

  To help everyone learn the skills and master the practices of influential leadership AIM-Utah has developed a three session course focused entirely on influential leadership.

  The details of this program are:

   Session One: Discovering and understanding my leadership brand

   Session Two: The practices of influential leadership

   Session Three: Recognizing and seizing opportunities to use and grow my influence

  The Fall 2025 Course takes place:

   Session One: Friday, February 6, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

   Session Two: Friday, March 6, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

   Session Three: Friday, April 3, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

  Each session includes content, practice, lunch, beverages and snacks

  LDI PLUS is a 3-month program that focuses on your personal leadership training. The key is a 90 minute one-on-one executive coaching session to help you grow your career to the next level.  A Birkman survey and a 360 Leadership Assessment Profile is administered to assess your leadership skills and is the basis of developing a tailored plan for your improvement. This program will be live and held at WCF facility in Sandy .

  Session 2 - Friday  03/13; 9:00AM to 1:30PM
  Session 3 - Friday  04/10; 9:00AM to 1:30 PM
  90 minute Mentoring scheduled Individually

  1) How do I progress in my company to greater responsibility and greater pay? This problem is described by Marshall Goldsmith, "What Got You Here Won't Get You There."
  2) How do I deliver more value to the business and make a greater contribution to business results? My leadership competencies are directly related to business results. (See chart below.)

  LDI PLUS is a 3-month learning experiences that provides an assessment of your leadership competencies. What are your strengths, and what needs more development.  This includes individual coaching with an experienced senior level executive to analyze your competencies and help create your development plan. The resources of the program are:

  • 90 minutes of one-on-one personal coaching with a certified mentor.
  • A Leadership Circle Profile of detailing your leadership skills.
  • A Birkman profile survey assessing your normal work behaviors and those when under stress.
  • A personalized 360 Profile from The Leadership Circle. 
  • The Program is facilitated by Business Executives and Certified Leadership Circle Profile Coaches.  
  • Three 5 hour monthly sessions.
